Who is the most popular Instagram influencer in India?
The best influencers on Instagram in India aren’t simply the accounts with the most followers. Instagram shows videos to people based on how the video performs individually, not just based on who follows the creator. As a result, a small or mid-sized account can reach more people than one several times its size.
That’s why we rank Indian Instagram influencers by median views of their videos (average number of people a typical video reaches). As of October 2026, the five most-watched are Aaryan Kelvin, Samay Raina, Keshav Shashi Vlogs, Fukra Insaan and Triggered Insaan.
Indian Instagram creators by the language they post in
Tamil Instagram influencers: Squad challenges, twist-ending sketches, and friend-group comedy, often from creators who also run large YouTube channels.
Telugu Instagram influencers: Village characters, couple comedy, and slow-living Reels about recipes and family traditions.
Malayalam Instagram influencers: Troupe sketches, family comedy, and food and travel Reels with big reactions.
Marathi Instagram influencers: Solo character comedy, theatre troupes, and village sketches, many of them tied to festivals.
Bengali Instagram influencers: Neighbourhood characters, from the aunt next door to the mother-in-law, played in Kolkata homes.

Fitness
Gym clips, body transformations, and training talk. Supplement or coaching offers run through all three feeds.

We analyzed the 766 posts these 69 creators published on Instagram in the last 30 days. Of those, 80 beat their creator’s usual views by 3× or more.
Here are the hooks that are working, read from each post’s caption, title, or on-screen text.
1. The sketch title (43% of breakout posts)
“My Kurta Story”
Two or three words name the sketch, and that is the whole caption: “Toxic couple”, “Dream saas”, “My Kurta Story”. It reads like an episode name, and the video does the rest.
Running series do well with it. Four of these breakouts are numbered parts or episodes, from a Telugu couple series to a letter series read to camera, so a returning viewer knows what the Reel holds before it plays.
2. The punchline as the caption (25% of breakout posts)
“Em kavali”
The caption is a line from the sketch, usually the punchline, in the creator’s own language and script: “Em kavali” in Telugu, “Tu samjha nai tu samjha nai” in Hindi, a moral in Marathi.
Read before the video starts, the line tells a viewer that a joke is coming and in which language. On a brand sketch the same caption can carry the product line, as long as the ad label comes first.
3. The life update (14% of breakout posts)
“Proud of my myself for not crying and getting angry , earlier Uorfi used to have a mental breakdown if spotting outfits were not ok”
These captions are about the creator, not a sketch: an anniversary surprise, a spouse’s last flight as a pilot, a jewellery label going live, an outfit that went wrong.
They come from creators whose followers know their lives, and three of them carry a brand. The format can hold a product when the product is part of the news, as a festive giveaway or a sponsored festival story.
This month’s 3 biggest breakout videos
Dolly Singh: “🔥Devi🔥” reached 13M views, 20.4× their usual.
Govind Singh: “POV: You Have to Submit Your File Tomorrow 💀😭” reached 36M views, 16.3× their usual.

How to choose a creator on Instagram in India
For a marketer booking Instagram Reels for a brand in India, these checks come before the fee and the script.
1. Start from the state you sell in
A regional creator’s audience sits where the language is spoken, and a sketch in Marathi or Telugu lands differently from one in Hindi. Ask for the audience split by state and city from Instagram Insights, and match it to where your product is on the shelf.
2. Ask for plays on the last ten Reels
Follower counts on Indian Instagram can sit far above or far below what a Reel gets. Ask for a screenshot of plays and reach for the last ten Reels, and plan on the typical one, not the best one.
3. Decide who owns the post
Many Indian campaigns run as Collab posts, where one Reel shows on both the creator’s grid and the brand’s and reaches both sets of followers. Agree whose account publishes it, whether it stays up after the campaign, and who answers the comments.
How we built this Indian Instagram influencer list
We identified and ranked these creators by searching hundreds of thousands of top performing posts on Instagram from India with Klint.
We rank by median views across each creator’s recent Reels, so one viral post can’t lift an account up the list. To qualify, a creator has to be based in India and known for Reels of their own, in any Indian language; film stars, singers, and cricketers whose feeds mainly promote that work are left out.
To get this list or a similar one for yourself, describe the creators you’re looking for in the Klint web app, or paste this prompt into any AI agent connected to Klint:

Questions about Indian Instagram influencers
Who are the top Indian Instagram influencers right now?
As of October 2026 the top five Indian Instagram influencers by median views are Aaryan Kelvin, Samay Raina, Keshav Shashi Vlogs, Fukra Insaan and Triggered Insaan.
Who has the most Instagram followers among Indian influencers?
Among these creators, Mr Faisu leads on followers with 34M. Ranked by how many people watch a typical Reel, Aaryan Kelvin comes first, at 40M views.
Why are film stars and cricketers not on this list?
They are famous for work done elsewhere, and their feeds mostly promote it: a film, a song, a match, a campaign. This page is about people who became known through Reels they make themselves. A creator who appears in a show now and then stays on while most posts are their own Reels.
Which languages do Indian Instagram influencers post in?
37 of the 69 post mainly in Hindi or Hinglish and 6 in English. The rest post in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, or Bengali, and one craft account posts with no words at all.
How do I find Indian Instagram influencers for my brand?
By hand, search Reels by hashtags in the language you sell in, such as #marathicomedy or #tamilcomedy, and note which creators your competitors already run Collab posts with. Klint runs the same search in one request, for example “Telugu comedy creators on Instagram with a median above 1M views”, and returns each creator with their numbers.
How much do Indian Instagram influencers charge?
There is no fixed rate. The fee depends on how many people a typical Reel reaches, the language and region, whether the Reel runs as a Collab post on the brand’s grid, how long the brand can reuse it, and whether the creator has to stay away from rival brands for a period. Most deals are priced per Reel, often with stories added.
Can a creator ask to be removed?
Yes. Any creator can ask to be taken off Klint’s lists, and the request applies to every page they would otherwise appear on.
