The best influencers on Instagram aren’t simply the accounts with the most followers. Instagram shows videos to people based on how the video performs individually, not just based on who follows the creator. As a result, a small or mid-sized account can reach more people than one several times its size.
That’s why we rank Instagram influencers by median views of their videos (average number of people a typical video reaches). As of October 2026, the five most-watched are MrBeast, Khabane Lame, Druski, Brent Rivera and Anwar Jibawi.
Where Instagram’s top creators come from
YouTubers: Creators who built an audience with long videos on YouTube and bring the same subjects to Reels: challenges, science, cooking, travel.
TikTokers: Creators who came up on TikTok and post the same short formats to Instagram, from silent comedy to dog grooming and makeup demos.
Vine stars: The six-second comedians of the 2010s. Vine closed in 2017, and many of its comedians moved their sketches to Instagram.
Instagram natives: Creators who started on Instagram itself, many with photos before Reels existed: makeup artists, fitness coaches, and fashion bloggers.
Celebrities: Footballers, singers, actors, and reality-TV stars hold most of the most-followed accounts on Instagram. Their fame comes from work off the platform.

What’s working on Instagram this month
We analyzed the 466 posts these 33 creators published on Instagram in the last 30 days. Of those, 38 beat their creator’s usual views by 3× or more.
Here are the hooks that are working, read from each post’s caption, title, or on-screen text.
1. The aside (24% of breakout posts)
“One of my fav makeovers!!”
A short remark in the creator’s own voice, the way you would caption a video sent to a friend: “He did this for us tbh 😂😂”, “I think she is a guinea pig..”. The caption does not describe the video; it reacts to it.
All nine come from four accounts: a dog groomer, a fashion creator in New York, a gym-etiquette account, and a strength athlete. None of them is a comedy account. The remark works when viewers already know the voice behind it.
2. The famous name (18% of breakout posts)
“scariest meal of my life @erling”
Seven breakout posts put a famous name in the first line: a footballer, a wrestler, a supermodel, an actress, a life coach, the Emmys and Vogue World. The name tells someone scrolling past what the video holds before it plays.
Most were filmed with the famous guest or at the event itself. On Instagram a guest can co-author a Reel as a Collab post, so it appears on both accounts at once; MrBeast’s meal with @erling went out that way. The five accounts behind these posts include a fashion creator at a runway show and a prankster on a red carpet.
3. The premise (16% of breakout posts)
“When you get her name tattooed 🐍”
The caption states the situation the sketch acts out, in one line: “When you get her name tattooed 🐍”, “Had to do my job and kick this guy out”. The viewer knows the setup before the punchline arrives.
Half of these come from King Bach, and two of them share one premise: a fiancé with unfinished business before the wedding, posted twice on September 12. Both broke out. A premise that works once can be filmed again.
This month’s 3 biggest breakout videos
Leonie Hanne: “Gigi opening VOGUE world in Milano 🤍” reached 4.7M views, 10× their usual.
Larry Wheels: “How many bodybuilders does it take to bend a barbell” reached 5.9M views, 7.9× their usual.
Max the Meat Guy: “$2,000 Wagyu Pasta” reached 2.4M views, 7.2× their usual.

How to choose a creator on Instagram
If your brand wants to work with an Instagram creator but has not picked a niche, start from what the video has to do for you, then check these four things.
1. Ask who watched, not only how many
Public numbers show views, not who the viewers were. In Reels, most of what people see comes from accounts they don’t follow, so ask the creator for the insights of three recent Reels: the views, the share from non-followers, and the top countries. A creator with a worldwide English-speaking audience may reach few people in your market.
2. Find out what they sell themselves
Many of the biggest creators sell their own snacks, makeup, sportswear, or restaurant meals, and their launches take up posting slots. Ask what is coming before you pitch, and rule out a creator whose own product competes with yours.
3. Ask how often they post
Some of the most-watched accounts post twice a month; others post several times a day. A creator who posts rarely may have no free slot in your launch week, so agree the date before you agree the price.
4. Agree how the ad will be marked
Creators mark brand deals in different ways: Instagram’s paid-partnership label, “#ad” in the caption, “Anzeige” for a German audience, or a brand tag with no ad words at all. The FTC’s advice to influencers is don’t assume that a platform’s disclosure tool is good enough, and in a video the disclosure belongs in the video itself. Put the wording in the contract.
How we built this Instagram influencer list
We identified and ranked these creators by searching hundreds of thousands of top performing posts across Instagram with Klint.
We rank by median views across each creator’s recent Reels, the only posts Instagram counts views for, so one viral post can’t lift an account up the list. Creators from any country qualify if they post in English or with no words, and celebrities famous for sport, music, acting, or TV are left out.
To get this list or a similar one for yourself, describe the creators you’re looking for in the Klint web app, or paste this prompt into any AI agent connected to Klint:

Questions about Instagram influencers
Who are the top Instagrammers?
As of October 2026 the top five Instagram influencers by median views are MrBeast, Khabane Lame, Druski, Brent Rivera and Anwar Jibawi.
Who is the most followed person on Instagram?
The most-followed accounts on Instagram belong to footballers, singers, actors, and reality-TV stars, whose fame comes from work off the platform. Of the creators known for their own videos on this list, MrBeast has the most followers: 91M.
Where are these Instagram influencers based?
Only 6 of the 33 name a place in their Instagram bio: Los Angeles, Massachusetts, Dubai, Hawaii, New York City and San Diego. The list takes creators from any country who post in English or with no words.
How do I find Instagram influencers for my brand?
By hand, search Instagram for the hashtags and keywords of your category, open the Reels tab of each account you find, and note the views of its last 10 or so Reels. Klint runs that search from one plain sentence, such as “Instagram food creators who post in English, 100K to 1M followers”, and ranks the results by views.
How much do Instagram influencers charge?
It depends on the views a typical Reel gets, what you ask for (a Reel, a Collab post that also appears on your account, Stories), how long you can reuse the video in ads, and whether the creator agrees not to work with your competitors. Accounts with millions of followers usually price through an agency or a manager, and several here list one in their bio. Smaller creators often agree a fee per Reel directly.
Can a creator ask to be removed?
Yes. Any creator can ask to be taken off Klint’s lists, and the request applies to every page they would otherwise appear on.
