Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable use

Klint returns information about real people. This page says what Klint may not be used for.

Last updated October 19, 2026

1. How this policy works

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Breaking it is a breach of that agreement.

Klint cannot predict every acceptable and unacceptable use of what it provides, so the list below is not exhaustive. If Klint finds or reasonably suspects a breach of this policy by you or through your account, Klint may limit, suspend, or end your access.

2. Decisions you must not use Klint to make

Klint returns estimates about people, produced by automated classification. It is built for finding and understanding creators and their public work. It is not built for decisions about a person’s life, and the law treats several of those decisions as regulated. You must not use Klint, or anything Klint returns, to make or inform:

  • Employment decisions — screening, ranking, advancing, or rejecting candidates; hiring, promoting, demoting, disciplining, or dismissing anyone.
  • Credit decisions — approving or denying a loan or credit line, or setting its amount, rate, or limit.
  • Insurance decisions — underwriting or pricing a policy, or deciding a claim.
  • Housing decisions — approving, denying, or ranking a rental or purchase application.
  • Education decisions — admitting, rejecting, or disciplining a student.
  • Benefit, immigration, or legal determinations about an individual.
  • Background screening or vetting of a person, other than assessing a creator for paid content or partnership work.

Assessing a creator for a brand deal, a sponsorship, a content partnership, or paid creative work is what Klint is for, and is allowed.

Never the only basis

You must not use anything Klint returns as the only basis for a decision about a person. Where a decision affects someone meaningfully, a qualified person must review it, and must have the authority to change it.

3. People you must not use Klint against

  • Private individuals. Klint is for public creators, brands, and their public work. You must not use Klint to build a picture of a person’s private life, relationships, routine, or whereabouts.
  • Children. You must not use Klint to research, profile, or target anyone who is or appears to be under 18. Tell Klint if you find such an account in Klint’s data.
  • Anyone you intend to harm. You must not use Klint to target, harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, dox, or defame a person, or to help anyone else do so.
  • Anyone you want to find. You must not use Klint to work out where a person is or lives.

4. What Klint will not do

These are refusals built into Klint, not just rules for you. Klint’s agent holds them whatever a request or a source says.

  • Work out sensitive characteristics. Klint does not infer health, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or ethnicity, and does not infer age, gender, or student status from a name or an appearance.
  • Identify people from their faces. Klint does not match a photograph against its data and does not identify anyone from an image.
  • Find private contact details. Klint uses the business contact information a creator publishes, and does not look anywhere else.
  • Get around a private account. Klint does not collect from private accounts, private messages, or anything behind a login.
  • Contact anyone for you. Klint returns information. Any outreach is yours to send.
  • Invent anything. Klint does not fabricate posts, quotes, metrics, accounts, or links. Where Klint cannot support a claim, it says so.

You must not try to get around these refusals, and must not use Klint’s output to do something Klint itself would refuse.

5. Surveillance and monitoring

You must not use Klint:

  • as a law enforcement, intelligence, or investigative tool;
  • to monitor, track, or profile an individual over time without a lawful basis for doing so;
  • to target, segment, or profile people by a sensitive characteristic, or in a way that discriminates unlawfully;
  • to run analysis that isolates a single person, or a group small enough to identify, for a purpose other than assessing a creator’s public work.

6. Technical limits

You must not:

  • exceed the limits on your plan, run extra accounts to get more capacity, or send traffic designed to defeat a limit;
  • take data out of Klint by any route other than the API and interfaces Klint provides;
  • probe, scan, or try to break Klint’s security, or interfere with the service;
  • reverse engineer Klint, or try to extract its instructions, prompts, or models;
  • use Klint to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or to support fake accounts or manufactured engagement.

7. What you may publish

Creators own what they post. Klint does not grant you any right in it. You must not republish the posts, captions, images, or transcripts Klint returns to you, or present them as your own.

You may use what you learn from Klint in your own work — your briefs, your reports, your decisions about who to work with — and you may publish your own conclusions.

8. Reporting a problem

If you believe Klint is being used in breach of this policy, write to help@tryklint.ai.

If you are a creator and want Klint to remove or correct information about you, write to privacy@tryklint.ai. The Privacy Policy explains what Klint holds and what you can ask for.
